Responsible Gaming

Know what this site can and cannot do for you

You can rely on one thing on every page here, this one included: links to six independent gambling-help organisations. They sit in the help links on each page, and on this page they are listed below. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow one.

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • GAM STOP
  • NCPG

Each is an independent source of help. Here is what this site cannot do:

  • This site has no account, no form and no server-side application. Nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce a spending or time control. Those controls are set by you inside your own account at the destination.
  • Nobody's age is verified here, and no gambling takes place on this site. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. The eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout the site, including on the front page.
  • No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs in these pages. Nothing here is targeted at you based on risky behaviour.

Set your own boundaries before you play

Most harm starts with decisions made in the moment. Make them beforehand instead.

  • Decide the amount before starting. A number chosen while calm is far easier to keep than one you negotiate with yourself halfway through a session.
  • Treat it as spent. If you regard the money as the price of entertainment, a loss stays within plan and a win is a bonus, not a target to repeat.
  • Never chase a loss. Each result is independent. Raising stakes to win back money only enlarges the hole and pushes you past the limit you set.
  • Keep gambling out of borrowed money. Credit and loans turn an entertainment cost into debt that outlasts the session, often with interest.
  • Take breaks. Time away interrupts the momentum of play and lets you check whether you are still within your plan.
  • If you want hard limits, arrange them inside your account at the operator you use, before you deposit.

Bring someone in early

When gambling stops feeling like entertainment, for example through secrecy, stress or money you cannot spare, talking to someone sooner makes change easier than waiting.

  • Tell a person you trust. Saying it out loud makes the pattern harder to ignore.
  • Use the organisations listed above. Their links open in a new tab on their own websites.
  • Step away from operator sites while you decide what to do next.
